see like the thing with 'carewhumpers' as a concept to me is it just like... i know this is prrrrobably not really how it's meant but something skeeves me out about the idea that kindness or caretaking mixed in with hurting someone can somehow meaningfully complicate or dilute the harm done to the point of making that character no longer a 'whumper' whereas someone doing the same 'bad' things but not ever being gentle or caring for them would just be a straight-out whumper. when like... that's how 90% of irl abuse dynamics work? so i just... don't really get the point, i guess. like to me it implies something about the 'care' provided somehow mitigating or combating the harm done that. i just do not personally appreciate or enjoy.

i think there's really something to be said about how there has never been a record i've encountered where people wanted justification or excuse to refuse to acknowledge the intention and seriousness of the project itself like danger days by both defenders and haters. i find it so incredibly bizarre and strange and partially fascinating.

#its all wrapped up in what danger days represents for people partially.#like idk ive been trying to verbalize it for yeaarsss but it always feels like people rhetorically discuss it as a side-effect #of whatever neurosis soothes their narrative. its a record of immense mania and tragedy for some people for instance #which i find very laughable but whatever. people want dd to be miserable for so many reasons #which is immediately rendered sort of null when you compare parade. both the touring and the album making process.#like realistically this is a band that every single record is shaded with immense difficulty and uncertainty #but instead of dealing with that fans love to sort of isolate danger days since its this moment of betrayal its the beginning of the end #its not what people wanted #when realisitically the single biggest creative pressure on the band would've been being severely in debt #to the label for scrapping con weap. I hate the stretch lines in the front of Curly's uniform because that means the devs rushed to make a model in like a month or so and thought "They gotta at least know he has huge knockers, gotta know he's got back pain." Cause like what is the thematic importance of his tits having overhang?

What responsibility is that representing? Breast reduction? It shows an inherent greed in his character due to the excess and heshouldletmeholdone and that he clearly is blinded cause if he tries to look down his damn ladder all he's seeing is his own cleavage.

oh my god today was so comically garbage and I decided to end it by trying to make waffles for myself which I have been doing multiple times a week for the last month and I know the proportions by heart and yet I got them incredibly wrong and then I was like "no worries I will simply make a double batch and freeze some of them" and then I got the proportions even wronger and now I have like five very dense very dry waffles instead of eight regular waffles that would have had the right amount of milk in them and I am going to bed and tomorrow the gremlins had better cast their eyes on someone who isn't me or I cannot make any promises about what I will do

My purpose and singular mission in life is to make sure queer and/or neurodivergent kids know that sometimes it really is their parents who are stupid and other adults are on their side. This, unfortunately, does not make me popular with their parents. Gonnae keep doing it though.

#kid was very overwhelmed by the theatre environment and panicking and didnt want to see the show cause it looked scary #and the mum was trying to get me to tell the kid its not scary (no i dont lie to kids i told her there are lots of funny bits but a couple #of maybe scary bits too)#and I told her hey listen the bravest thing you can do is tell people you arent comfortable somewhere. youve done so well to do that #and i gave her a program so she can learn more and make an informed decision if she wants to come another time #and i asked her what her favourite things are and she said science and animals and i told her to try the museum its super fun #and her mum was all 'ugh shes a nightmare she's ~on the spectrum~'#and i went yeah me too. and told the kid this isnt for everyone and she did well to tell me and i hope she likes the museum #and like. her mum yelling at her was making everything worse. talking to her like a person with agency?#got her from full panic attack to actively smiling at me in under 5 minutes #sometimes your parents or guardians are in fact being stupid or rude! neurodivergent adults exist! other people see you and hear what you're #saying and won't be mad!#anyway. now IM very overwhelmed but i really hope that kid remembers this and i hope she has a great day #im going to get a coffee and sit under a tree for a while
